Very well said.

The silent tragedy affecting today’s children May 28, 2017 at 03:44PM
One ignorant parent actually challenged me for being "backward" and "old-fashioned" when I expressed my doubt in excessive use of iPad. I wish he has an opportunity to read this article.
via Facebook http://ift.tt/2s0NGC0 Here is my new blog post. I encourage every parent who cares about the future of his/her children to read it. I know that many would choose not to hear what I say in the article, but your children need you to hear this message. Even if you disagree with my perspective, please,

Psychology shows it’s a big mistake to base our self-worth on our professional achievements May 27, 2017 at 11:19PM
"In other words, you’re a successful adult when you outgrow the natural selfishness of your childhood and youth—when you realize that life is no longer about charting your own course, but about helping others, whether it’s by raising children, mentoring colleagues, or creating something new and useful for the world. Generative people perceive themselves as part of a larger tapestry and seek to preserve it, however humbly, for future generations. This legacy gives their lives meaning."

Perspective | I wrote ‘The Art of the Deal’ with Trump. His self-sabotage is rooted in his past. May 17, 2017 at 11:42PM
"As we have seen countless times during the campaign and since the election, Trump can devolve into survival mode on a moment’s notice. Look no further than the thousands of tweets he has written attacking his perceived enemies over the past year. In neurochemical terms, when he feels threatened or thwarted, Trump moves into a fight-or-flight state. His amygdala is triggered, his hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis activates, and his prefrontal cortex — the part of the brain that makes us capable of rationality and reflection — shuts down. He reacts rather than reflects, and damn the consequences. This is what makes his access to the nuclear codes so dangerous and frightening."

What You're Doing When You Yell At Your Kid May 16, 2017 at 10:13PM
Time to work on my lacking of humor... "There is an alternative method that’s more effective and not as hardline: humor. “If the parent responds with a sense of humor, you still maintain your authority and keep them connected to you,” says Dr. Markham. Laughter seems like a more welcomed outcome than cowering..."

Childbirth is one of the most intense experiences in a woman's life. Plan ahead but go with the flow as it happens. There is nothing right or wrong about your birth decision, as long as everything turns out well. I am no mama expert, just based on my one and only experience so far.

Ease Up: Psychological Abuse May be Damaging Your Child May 01, 2017 at 09:01AM
"62% of the youth in the study had endured a second or third form of abuse as well as psychological abuse. About 1/4 (roughly 24%) had suffered from only psychological abuse. Specifically, "bullying, terrorising, coercive control, harsh insults, debasement, threats, overwhelming demands, shunning, and isolation," said researchers. To the researchers surprise, the kids who had been psychologically abused suffered from mental illnesses as a result. Namely, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and suicidal thoughts. The youths comprising this group, more than any other form of abuse, showed signs of substance abuse, social attachment problems, and general anxiety disorder."
